MY CLEAN DESK~

After 12 hours I finally have my room back to looking decent. I overhauled and purged stuff. WOW!!! I can see the floor again. LOL!!! I'm tired but I am finished for the most part. I have a few more things to put away but not too bad.

Hello Friends!!!

Today I am working on organizing my Kawaii Craft Room. It's been a HOT MESS for quite sometime and I haven't spent anytime working on any craft project in my room. I have absolutely no desire to work in this mess so I have just been avoiding it like the plague but today I am determined to get my room back to being neat, clean, organized and functional again. I miss crafting in my space.

I had a wonderful weekend!!

I am so excited to share with you that I finally got my very first IPhone 4S. Woo Hoo!!!! I bought it on Saturday. I seriously can't believe all the cool things I can do on it. I've had a Itouch for a few years but the iPhone is just AMAZING!!!

I've been playing with my phone all weekend. I am now on Instagram. Please follow me. I'm Puakalehua72.

I downloaded a bunch of apps. My new favorite aside from Instagram is Rakuga-Cute. It's a Japanese purikura app. I LOVE it!!!

Good Morning Friends!!! I just wanted to do a quick entry to say Hello and let you all know that I just started my new job on Monday. I am loving it so far. I am working in the telecommunication industry. This is way different then the banking industry.

I'm a little bit late with posting this entry as I have been gone all day and neglected to get this posted sooner. I just wanted to stop by and wish all of you a Happy Easter for those who celebrate it.

Here is a card I created for Swing Shift Designs:

This is a surprise pop up card I created using a vintage image from Spring 3 collage sheet. I used a blue chalk ink to distress the image. I also used a dark chocolate brown cardstock paper, a vintage white scallop lace, vintage music sheet for the background which is distressed with the Tim Holtz walnut stain distress ink. I embellished the card with a handmade lace flower (plus paper flowers), a yellow beaded stick pin, a butterfly charm, and another image of the chicks are also from the same collage sheet. The chick image is then layered with UTEE and distressed with the Tim Holtz walnut stain distress ink.

Here is my project I created. I used the ever so beautiful Girl Flower Butterfly digi image by Mitzi Sato-Wiuff. Today's project is a lovely surprise pop up card. I am all into the interactive cards nowadays. These cards are very fun to make and quite easy to do.

I colored the digi image with Copic markers and Lumiere acrylic paints. I wanted to add a lot of variation in the image by working with both. I used a white vintage rose lace trim for the background. I cut the lace into strips and adhered it to the pastel blue cardstock. The size of the card is 5" x 6". The image is matted on a pretty aqua cardstock and adhered with pop dots. I use the pop dots in about every project I create. The embellishments I added on the card are: a vintage scallop lace trim, mulberry paper flowers, a handmade beaded stick pin, turquoise flower rhinestones, 2 small metallic butterfly stickers, stickles, and glossy accents. I finished the card by stamping the sentiment "thinking of you," from a Studio G stamp I purchased at Michaels.

The sun is shining and it's a beautiful day here in Cali!!! It's still a little cooler than usual but still beautiful.

Hello Friends!!!

I've been having great days of mail lately. WOO HOO!!! I must get back to writing a few letters. I have been a bit lazy these days and think it has to do with this weather. It's been a little cloudy today. I am finally getting around to editing my photos of all the cute mail I received. It's soooo nice to have my mail box full of letters.

I made a lot of new pallies at Penpalling and Letters on Facebook as well as here on blogger. YAY!!! For those who wrote to me lately... Thank you SOOOO much!!! I also am working on a few letters for a few of my pallies (Jacqueline, Kristina, Allie, & Jackie V.) I have some goodies of cute mail to send out to you. I haven't forgotten about you gals. *WINK*

I hope all of you had a lovely day. As for me it was a pretty good day. I received a call for a job interview which is for tomorrow morning. WOO HOO!!! I'm really excited as I'm soooo anxious to get back to work. It was nice to have a little break but I'm ready to go back. Please keep me in your thoughts and say a prayer for me. Thank you!!!

I also joined a simple Kawaii Sticker Postcard via Swap-bot. It's been a while since I've participated in any swaps there. I found this swap and thought it was an easy peasy swap to do. I also enjoy making these postcards. They are quite fun. I hope my partner will like it.

I used various Kawaii sticker flakes from sticker sacks, index cards, cardstock, and laminated the postcard with clear transparent contact paper. I LOVE this stuff!!! It's great to laminate paper projects.

BEAUTIFUL SUNSHINE DAY TO~

Hello Friends!!!

Today it was soooo beautiful I had to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine sitting under the Apricot tree in my yard. I've been cooped up in the house for the most part as I am currently not working. *SIGH* I hope to find a job real soon though as I'm anxious to go back to work.

MAD FOR DECOS!~

Hello Friends!!!

I hope you are all enjoying your day! I slept in rather late. *SIGH* I went crafting with my girlfriends on Saturday from 11am-11pm. I didn't do a whole lot of crafting but it was great to just hang out and have some girl time. :)

Here is a paper bag card I created using The Greeting Farm Cheeky Howdy stamp. I paper pieced her outfit with scrap papers and colored her with copic markers. I used the Cherry Paper from the All About Girls paper pad. I also created the beaded charms attached to the paper bag card. I embellished the cherries with stickles, added paper flowers, and a white organza ribbon. She is matted on red cardstock and popped up with pop dots.

Here is my project I would like to share with you~



I used the digi image Believe in Tomorrow by Mitzi Sato-Wiuff. You can find her at HERE. I absolutely adore this image as the detail in it is just amazing. I colored her using copic markers. It was quite a task for me but I am totally happy with the results.

I used K&CO designer paper called Sparkly Sweet. I distressed the edges of the card using Tsuikineko's Brillance Pearlescent Sky Blue ink. I embellished with paper flowers, a pink rhinestone, stickles on the wings of the fairy & butterfly. The final touch was adding the two beaded stick pins and a lime green grosgrain ribbon bow.

WEEKEND GETAWAY~

Hello Friends!!!

I was away this past weekend with my two best friends. We went to my friend Iris's cabin and got to craft all weekend long. I made a bunch of cards. It was soooo relaxing to just hang out in our pjs and craft.

Here are a few of the cards I created:



I created this card using La Sylphide digi image by Mitzi Sato-Wiuff. I colored the image using copic markers. The background papers I used are from a gift pack I got with a magazine purchase. I added stickles, mulberry paper flowers, 3 dimensional word stickers, and one of my handmade beaded stick pins.

This card I created using the sweet image of Isabella with Puppy Cocco by Sarah Kay. I also colored the image using copic markers. The background papers I used are from K&CO. I added mulberry paper flowers, stickles, rhinestones, and a vintage scallop lace trim distressed in a apricot colored ink.

Here is the last card I would like to share with you~



This card I created using the Country Girl digi image by Morgan Fitzsimons. Isn't she adorable? I love the color scheme I used. Lots of pinks, blues, and yellows. I colored the image with copic markers. The papers are from a stash of scrapbook papers I had tucked away in a storage container. I thought it went really well with this image. I added some vintage lace trim and distressed it with some blue chalk ink and then tied an organza ribbon bow.
