Hello Friends!!!!

I joined the Your Paper Pantry Upcycle Lunch bag swap for October. It's a Thanksgiving theme. After watching a few videos on Youtube I was inspired to join YPP and sign up for the upcycle lunch bag swap.

Here is my creation:

I used a Vintage Thanksgiving image, burlap fabric, Tim Holtz distressing inks (tea dye, walnut stain, & orange marmalade), organza ribbon trim, leaves rubber stamp, Recollection's rhinestone brad, and my handmade fabric & lace flowers.

I used this Fall leaves paper from the DCWV Autumn mat stack from last year and a sheet of this lovely apricot color cardstock. I found a gratitude quote and printed it out and adhere it to the bag. The quote reads~ Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings. ~William Arthur Ward

I used a foam pumpkin die cut I had in my stash and printed "Happy Autumn," and my info is printed on the back.

Here is a close up my handmade fabric and lace flower. I added the Recollection's orange color rhinestone to the center. I found this beautiful tapestry fabric at my local flea market and thought it would be perfect for creating flowers. I'm so glad I didn't pass it up.

I really enjoy creating this swap. It was a lot of fun. I hope my swap partners will enjoy it. If you enjoy crafting come over and join Your Paper Pantry. Lots of fun swaps to join.

  1. Wow! Those are beautiful lunch bags. I don't think I could use it as a lunch bag that's for sure, too beautiful to waste and dirty. I love your handmade flowers, very pretty. Have a great day!

  2. @ Jacqueline Roy~ Hi!!! Thank you!!! Actually it's meant to be used as a gift bag instead of a lunch bag. I'm glad you like it. I had a great time putting this together. Have a great day as well. :)

  3. I like them so much, very creative! as Jacqueline said, I could use them either as a lunch bags! Too pretty!
